Comia app

A breastfeeding companion app built in React Native.

Overview

We built the Comia iOS and Android app in React Native with Expo and Supabase — a companion to a smart breastfeeding pillow that automatically tracks and logs every feeding session. We took the product far beyond its roots as a basic sync tool, building out a full suite of features that turned it into a comprehensive feeding companion mothers rely on every day.

Timeline: 2+ Years (Ongoing)

Platform: iOS & Android

Stack: React Native, Expo, Supabase

Comia feeding tracker

Feeding Progress

An entirely new Feeding Progress page with rich data visualizations — rolling averages, left/right side breakdowns, and 30-day charts — giving mothers meaningful insight into their baby’s feeding habits over time.

Onboarding & Get Started

A complete onboarding and login experience, giving new users a smooth, welcoming entry into the app from the very first launch — built from the ground up to reflect the care the product stands for.

Breastfeeding Drawer

A multitasking breastfeeding drawer so users can log and monitor an active session while navigating the rest of the app — no need to pause or lose context.

Sync & Hardware Integration

Deep optimizations to the pillow sync, ensuring reliable, fast data transfer from hardware to app — plus a custom Python testing script built to support pillow hardware QA and development.
